Thanks to the high sweetening and masking capacity of Citrosweet the palatability of feed is strongly increased. Its sweeting profil, that is very similar to sucrose, enhances the flavours added to feeds, reducing consequently feed refusal. Citrosweet increases so the attractiveness of feed; and animals (weaners) fed with Citrosweet begin to eat solid feed much earlier, increase their feed intake and grew continuously faster.

Citrosweet plays an important role in improving the palatability of feedstuffs. Initially flavourings in animal nutrition were based on natural sugars. However, due to the high cost of sugar, alternatives to sucrose are now used.

The homogenous flavour of Citrosweet allows to use varied raw materials and have a more flexiable feed formulation, optimising so the cost per ration.

Citrosweet improves the palatability of the water and the taste reminds the young animal of the mother's milk. Citrosweet will increase the intake of water and feed.
